Alireza Khosroabadi is an Iranian theater-maker, interdisciplinary artist, and performer based in Vienna. His work primarily seeks a connection between the personal and the public, exploring the liminal spaces between text and movement, while engaging with themes of memory and socio-political issues.

His journey began before his Master’s studies in Theatre Directing at the Art University of Tehran, within a theater center at his bachelor’s university. His projects range from devised performances and performative screenings to everyday life scores. Over time, he has cultivated a practice that weaves together theater, movement, and visual storytelling, seeking new ways to think through “images.”

Originally from Iran, he has presented his work internationally, with exhibitions in Germany, Italy, and France. Now based in Vienna, his recent projects explore the interplay between language and performance, movement and score, while seeking new pathways for intercultural dialogue
